Elise's writing

In addition to songwriting, Elise Letourneau
composes and arranges choral and piano works,
has written commercials and theme music for cable TV,
and was commissioned to compose music for an original dance production, as well as arrange for the Central Armed Forces Strings and Capital Vox - Ottawa's Jazz Choir.
Currently, her creative work includes commissions,
composing a jazz mass and a string quartet,
a series of choral compositions based on poetry by Rumi,
a song cycle based on sonnets by Edmonton poet-laureate
and Governor General's Literary Award winner Ted Blodgett,
new choral music based on poems by Margaret Atwood,
Emily Dickinson and Langston Hughes,
creating material for an album of solo voice works,
as well as composing and arranging
for both vocal and flute choirs.
