Mixed Choir

Women's Choir

Men's Choir

Elise is composing and arranging something pretty much all the time. The rest of the time she can be found helping others along their music journey, knitting dog sweaters, digging around in some soil, or plotting the details of her next big project.

Elise Letourneau accepts commissions to compose new music. She specializes in music for choir, voice, piano, winds, and strings, but will consider all possibilities.

Elise also often has a commissioning consortium on the go. A commission consortium offers ensembles the opportunity to purchase a share in a new commission. They participate in a very real way in the process of bringing new music to life and receive the chance to premiere the work in their own area. Commissioning a brand new piece becomes financially accessible to more choirs, and Elise gets to keep composing. Everybody wins!

Elise is gaining a reputation for writing choral music that is contemporary, accessible, and fresh; with a beautiful sensitivity to text and a particular flair for setting poetry. Her music has been performed and/or recorded by the Vancouver Chamber Choir, the Toronto Children's Chorus, the Canadian National Youth Choir, the Cantiamo Girls' Choir, Capital Vox Jazz Choir, The University of Ottawa Choir, The Bach Festival Choir & Orchestra, The Central Band of the Canadian Armed Forces String Ensemble, Colin Ainsworth, Leslie Fagan, Ellen McAteer, and others.
